Iams Friends For Life Fund
Bringing together people and pets for a lifetime of health, happiness and love.
Priority areas are:
- Bringing people and pets togetherfor life through shelter adoption and encouraging responsible pet ownership.
- Promoting the benefits companion animals bring to the lives of people.
- Advancing the practice of pet therapy.
The Iams Friends For Life Fund will focus contributions on five areas:
- Animal behavior training programs to make pets more adoptable and to make adoptions more successful.
- Responsible pet ownership education.
- Assistance dog programs.
- Pet therapy programs.
- Disaster relief for pets.
These choices are based on our assessment of where we can make the most meaningful difference. Our current limitations:
- We use a guideline of no more than 10% of the grantee’s operating budget.
- Organizations seeking funding must be tax exempt under Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (3).
- Mass mailings are not considered.
- No grants will be made to individuals.
Grant types:
- We provide support for programs and general operating expenses.
- We are unable to fund capital campaigns or sponsor fundraising events.
A committee of Iams Company employees will review all requests and make giving decisions on behalf of the Iams Friends For Life Fund and The Iams Company.
